Plato and fudge pie

I laid into the fudge pie my wife made last night and started thinking that I was so enjoying this chocolate heaven that I was starrry-eyed which made me think of Plato’s words about Astronomy. He said it, “…complels the soul to look upwards and leads us from this world to another.”

Many things do just that not the least of which is fudge pie. That may be self-deception but the old Greek also thought that “Everything that decieves may be said to enchant.”

Enchanted and full of chocolate is not a bad state of place and mind.
