Some 20 million miles ago, I saw it. That Pan AM poster from the 30’s that shows a Boeing 314 Clipper coming in for a landing in Tahiti. It stirred up my juices and today I get excited every time I get on a plane going somewhere….anywhere…which happens a lot.
Thoreau would say “We need only travel enough to give our intellects an airing.”
My brain cells have been aired out for the last thirty years and I find that the desire to hop on that metaphorical Clipper is still as intense as it ever was.
To changeBaldwin’s quote a little, “I met a lot of people in my travels. I even encountered myself.”
