At the Nashboro Village Tennis Club in the 1980’s, they made a Long Island Iced Tea that was outstanding. I lived on the premises and could walk across the golf course at night to my apartment, one of many places I lived during my time. I’ve enjoyed all places and learned a lot of crazy stuff along the way.
I often adhere to Bertrand Russell’s advice on two fronts. One is that “the time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time.” and the other is “there is much pleasure to be gained from useless knowledge.”
I sometimes pray for a comeback of Trivial Pursuit and whatever it was in those Long Island iced teas that made them special.
