Passion for Compassion

I went to the nursing home
To see an aunt that I adore
Rowdy young woman now old
Gray lioness lacking her roar
Slumped in aged wheel chair
Shaking hands across her lap
An oak tree constitution
Nowadays devoid of sap
But those eyes held something
That mouth could not produce
Beneath the wrinkled trembles
An eternal spirit wanted loose
