graveyard instruction

past present future is was and shall be
truth fable sentient fate luck destiny

reverie stirring state of perception
knowing enigma candor deception

tremulous phantom quietly endear it
ancestral union enduring spirit

I’ve always loved graveyards and I pay a quick visit to them whenever I go to my hometown and there I am often reminded of a quote from Thornton Wilder’s Our Town, “Life is too wonderful for us to truly appreciate it. I agree with that and love an old African tradition that states if you think or dream something then it probably has happened or will happen somewhere, some time. That works for me because I would be sorely disappointed if all of those wonderful dreams I’ve had went to waste.
